What is a LUCID number?
A LUCID number is a unique registration ID issued by the Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (German Packaging Register). It confirms that a business complies with Germany’s packaging regulations and takes responsibility for packaging recycling and disposal.
Why does it matter?
If you sell products to customers in Germany, providing a valid LUCID number is a legal requirement. Without it, marketplaces may suspend or block listings, and non-compliance can result in penalties or fines.
Do I need to register myself?
